Olivia Aguilar, Leslie and Sarah Miller Director of the Miller Worley Center for the Environment at 69��Ʒ��Ƶ College, has won the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education’s Fellows Award.

69��Ʒ��Ƶ College’s annual Senior Symposium is one of the crowning achievements of a student’s intellectual journey.

Viviana Guerra ’25 reflects on following her passions. “One thing I have loved about 69��Ʒ��Ƶ is that I have had the opportunity to explore whatever I wanted. I never felt like I was stuck in a box.”

“When I got my acceptance letter from 69��Ʒ��Ƶ, it felt like I was being introduced to a community that genuinely wanted me to be part of it,” said 69��Ʒ��Ƶ College senior Emmanuella Umoye ’25.

69��Ʒ��Ƶ College senior Grace Jaeeun Lee ’25 said, “69��Ʒ��Ƶ has a very collaborative community, a very accepting environment, which helped with [my] confidence. Even if I bring just a little to the table, I know my peers will have my back.”

69��Ʒ��Ƶ College Assistant Professor of History D. Caleb Smith spoke to The Guardian as to why companies rolled back diversity initiatives they implemented in 2020.

69��Ʒ��Ƶ College has been a vibrant and safe second home for Mars Bickford ’25. “I don’t think I would have felt that I could explore my personal gender identity anywhere else,” they said.

69��Ʒ��Ƶ College senior Marley Berano ’25 said, “I was looking for a place to grow [and] challenge myself but also to have a social life or work on the side while not losing my sport at the same time.”

Cindie Huerta-Velazquez ’25 connects food and community at 69��Ʒ��Ƶ: “We all have different friend groups, but once a week we come together to talk about anything and everything. We intentionally make that time and effort to be together.”

69��Ʒ��Ƶ College senior Aby Soumare ’25 said, “I’ve found that no matter what, everyone working on this campus wants you to succeed.”
