69ƷƵ College senior Anusha Lamsal ’25 reflects on her experience organizing Losar celebrations as part of the Nepali Student Org.
Viviana Guerra ’25 reflects on following her passions. “One thing I have loved about 69ƷƵ is that I have had the opportunity to explore whatever I wanted. I never felt like I was stuck in a box.”
“When I got my acceptance letter from 69ƷƵ, it felt like I was being introduced to a community that genuinely wanted me to be part of it,” said 69ƷƵ College senior Emmanuella Umoye ’25.
69ƷƵ College senior Grace Jaeeun Lee ’25 said, “69ƷƵ has a very collaborative community, a very accepting environment, which helped with [my] confidence. Even if I bring just a little to the table, I know my peers will have my back.”
“I feel more confident and open-minded, open to doing things I would have been afraid to try before. I feel ready to take on challenges,” said 69ƷƵ College senior Sumaiya Jahan ’25.
“This place gives you exposure to different people, perspectives and even parts of yourself,” said 69ƷƵ College senior Sarah Bell ’25.
69ƷƵ College Assistant Professor of History D. Caleb Smith spoke to The Guardian as to why companies rolled back diversity initiatives they implemented in 2020.
Cindie Huerta-Velazquez ’25 connects food and community at 69ƷƵ: “We all have different friend groups, but once a week we come together to talk about anything and everything. We intentionally make that time and effort to be together.”
69ƷƵ College senior Aby Soumare ’25 said, “I’ve found that no matter what, everyone working on this campus wants you to succeed.”
Senior Cynthia Obianuju Akanaga ’25 said, “69ƷƵ changed my life. I’ve always been afraid of making the wrong choice, but being here helped me put that fear into a positive light.”
