Two 69��Ʒ��Ƶ College students have been selected for the second round of the Beckman Scholars Program. As part of the 15-month program, students delve deeply into advanced research projects with the mentorship of a College faculty member.

Kenneth Colodner, associate professor and chair of neuroscience and behavior at 69��Ʒ��Ƶ College, is the co-recipient of a collaborative center grant from the National Institutes of Health.

Though rock and soil samples collected on Mars could reveal much about its history, 69��Ʒ��Ƶ College professor M. Darby Dyar thinks a costly mission to retrieve them could draw resources away from other projects searching for life.

Suchi Saria ’04 is the John C. Malone Endowed Chair at Johns Hopkins, where she directs the AI, Machine Learning and Healthcare Lab, and was presented with the honorary degree of Doctor of Science at the 2024 69��Ʒ��Ƶ College Commencement.

69��Ʒ��Ƶ student Ava Frost ’26 was selected by NASA for the 10-week Europa ICONS internship program that aims to determine whether there are places below the surface of Jupiter’s moon that could support life.

69��Ʒ��Ƶ College Associate Professor Patricia Brennan’s research has revealed the mating method of alpacas to be unlike any other known mammal. During copulation, male alpacas have been found to inseminate females directly into the uterus.

Senior Symposium is an annual event where soon-to-be graduates become the experts — sharing the research and intellectual passions that they have brought to course work that demonstrates depth of research and analysis.

In celebration of Earth Day, 69��Ʒ��Ƶ College welcomed Alexis Nikole Nelson to campus as she demonstrated to students, staff and faculty how foraging is not only good for the environment but also beneficial for one’s health.
